Connection guide
Bring a reference into your assistant.
Choose how you work, connect your account, then try a search. Browsing and saving on this website are free.
1. Add Refmori
In your client's MCP settings, add a remote server named Refmori. Choose Streamable HTTP if asked for a transport.
2. Sign in and authorize
Save the connection and follow your client's sign-in or Authenticate action. Sign in to Refmori and approve reference access. Restart or reconnect your client if the tool has not appeared.
Create a free account if you do not have one yet. A successful setup exposes search_references and get_reference in your client's tool list.
My client asks for an API key instead
Create a personal key in API keys. If your client supports custom headers, set Authorization: Bearer <your key>. Never paste your key into an assistant message.
3. Try your first search
Copy this into your connected assistant. A search with results uses one unit of your monthly allowance.
Use get_reference with a result's ID to retrieve that exact reference or another available view, without another search charge. Some results provide source links or text only. An image-capable assistant is needed to inspect pictures; passing them into a generation tool depends on that tool's inputs.
Troubleshooting and limits
- The tool is missing
- Save, reconnect or restart the client. Check that Refmori is enabled and authorized.
- I get links instead of pictures
- Some sources are link-only. Open the supplied image link; enabling images does not change a source's delivery permission.
- No results match
- Describe the reference another way, try a catalog keyword or remove the camera filter. If semantic search is unavailable, keyword matches remain available.
- Limits and charges
- API and MCP share your account allowance. Free includes 300 searches each UTC calendar month; paid allowances renew with your billing cycle. Nonempty searches use one unit, including keyword fallback results. Empty results and image retrieval failures use zero. Image-enabled searches return at most three references. Direct reads consume zero search units; all tool requests share your plan's per-minute limit. Demo illustrations are excluded unless include_demo=true. Compare plans.
